Me and come family went to the Corcoran Art Museum recently and saw the exhibit “30 Americans”, which highlights the work of some of the most prominent Black artists of the last three decades. The focus is on Black identity in America through the media / pop culture. It was a really interesting show.
Anyways, this is one of my favorite pieces from it.
Titled: Iona Rozeal Brown, Sacrifice #2: It Has to Last.
This artist appears to have suffered a severe bout of LSD to the brain.
